In June 2008, Ramos Ministries was officially established. “Reaching All thru Missions Outreaches and Services" is a non-profit organization birthed from our missionary burden to help equip and prepare men and women in the church around the world to fulfill their callings and the great commission (Matt. 28:19-20). Therefore, our mission is:
To provide Christian training for men and women in the area of marriage and family.
To provide pastoral counseling training for pastors.
To provide Leadership and Development training for pastors, laity and mentors.
To conduct and organize mission trips for congregations (youth groups, etc.) to experience the mission field for themselves.
To introduce individuals or congregations to mission projects which they can become involved in.
To provide humanitarian outreach through medical clinics and food banks.
Since 2008, Ramos Ministries has been partnering with local congregations in the Dominican Republic to help build churches. We primarily stay in contact with a local overseer who provides updates. The majority of the churches we have helped to establish are for the Haitian refugees living in the country. To find out more about our work in the Dominican Republic, click here.
Marriages are important to God. Whether those marriages are in the United States or any country in the world, they are a building block for healthy families and churches. With Dr. Ramos's qualifications in marriage and family ministry, he and Carla conduct Marriage & Family Confernces throughout the United States.
John and Carla Ramos are no strangers to the mission field. They served in Germany and Spain for 13 years before returning to the States. John earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from East Coast Bible College, a Master of Divinity from The Church of God Pentecostal Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Marriage and Family Ministries from Palmer Theological Seminary. He served for 10 years at the Church of God Theological Seminary in various positions and as an Adjunct Professor in counseling. He is an Ordained Bishop and has held ministerial credentials in the Church of God since 1978.
Carla earned a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Foreign Languages and a Master of Education from Lee University. She served as a high school language teacher (German and Spanish) in Georgia and Tennessee for 24 years.
Their experience has opened doors for them to teach in Bible schools in Bolivia and the Dominican Republic. In the last ten years, they have been involved in helping the Haitian refugees in the Dominican Republic, and John traveled frequently to Bolivia to teach and train pastors at Jada Bible Seminary in Santa Cruz. They conduct Marriage and Family Seminars throughout the United States and overseas.
John and Carla have been married since 1976 and are blessed with three children and their spouses: Elissa and Manny, Estelle and Joey, Johnnie and Ashley, and 10 grandchildren.
In late 2020, Ramos Ministries added another arm to their ministry, a local congregation. Gateway Fellowship began under the direction of the Lord. It is a church that prays for the sick and sees them healed, prays for the lost, and leads them to the Lord. We are a group of people dedicated to enthusiastic worship and unapologetic, faithful preaching of the Bible.
