Ramos Ministries
As of June 2008, “Reaching All thru Missions Outreaches and Services
(Ramos) Ministries, Inc. was officially established. This non-profit organization is an outgrowth of our missionary burden to help equip and prepare men and women in the church around the world to fulfill their callings and the great commission (Matt. 28:19-20). Therefore, our mission is:
-
To provide Christian training for men and women in the area of marriage and family.
-
To provide pastoral counseling training for pastors.
-
To provide Leadership and Development training for pastors, laity and mentors.
-
To conduct and organize mission trips for congregations (youth groups, etc.) to experience the mission field for themselves.
-
To introduce individuals or congregations to mission projects which they can become involved in.
-
To provide humanitarian outreach through medical clinics and food banks.
John & Carla Ramos
John and Carla Ramos are no strangers to the mission field. They served in Germany and Spain for several years before returning to the States. While in the States, they were able to further their education believing that one day God would allow them to return to the mission field. John earned the following degrees: a BA in Biblical Studies (East Coast Bible College), a Master of Divinity (Pentecostal Theological Seminary), and a Doctorate of Ministry in Marriage and Family Ministry (Palmer Theological Seminary). He served ten years at the Church of God Pentecostal Theological Seminary in various positions: Director of Student Services, Registrar, Financial Aid Director, and Adjunct Professor in counseling. John is an Ordained Bishop and has held ministerial credentials in the Church of God (Cleveland, T N) since 1978. Carla is a graduate of Lee University with a B. A. in Modern Foreign Languages and a Master of Education.
In 2005, doors open for them to serve in Bolivia. They taught at the Bible School, conducted marriage and family seminars, and pastored to a church. Now they are serving in the Dominican Republic doing short-term mission work with the Haitian and Dominican communities. When they are not on the mission field, Carla serves as a high school teacher (German and Spanish) in Georgia and John does fundraising for church projects in the Dominican Republic. They also conduct Marriage and Family Seminars. They have been married since 1976 and are blessed with three children and their spouses: Elissa & Manny, Estelle & Joey, Johnnie & Ashley and nine grandchildren.
Since 2008, Ramos Ministries has been partnering with local congregations in the Dominican Republic to help build churches. John has also helped to train pastors and leaders in Bolivia. Together, John & Carla have conducted Marriage and Family Conferences throughout the United States and overseas. In late 2020, Ramos Ministries began to add another arm to their ministry, a local congregation. Gateway Fellowship began under the direction of the Lord. It is a church that prays for the sick and sees them healed, prays for the lost, and leads them to the Lord. We are a group of people dedicated to enthusiastic worship and an unapologetic faithful interpretation of the Bible.
